Sometimes you know what you want to do, but something inside keeps holding you back. It may show up as anxiety, overthinking, procrastination, self-doubt, fear of driving, fear of flying, worry about work, health, ageing or change.
You may feel capable in many areas of life, yet still find yourself avoiding things that matter to you. It may show up in your home life or your work life or maybe in activities that you'd love to take part in but lack the confidence or motivation.
Mind & Confidence support at Pause is designed for women who want to understand what is keeping them stuck and begin creating practical, positive change. The work is calm, focused and one-to-one, available in person near Brandon, Downham Market and Swaffham, or online.

Confidence is not always about being loud, bold or outgoing.
For many women, it is about being able to do everyday things without fear taking over. It is being able to make decisions, trust yourself, speak up, travel, drive, work, rest or move forward without the same old patterns pulling you back.
You may be dealing with something that has appeared in midlife, or something that has been with you for years. Either way, if it is affecting your choices, your peace of mind or the way you live, it matters.

When your mind keeps running through possibilities, worries or worst-case scenarios.

When you delay, distract or avoid things you know you want or need to do and it holds you back.

When travel, independence or family life is affected by fear or panic.

When hormonal change, life experience or ageing affects how capable you feel.

When self-doubt affects visibility, decision-making, conversations or opportunities.

When deeper fears begin to affect your everyday sense of safety or freedom.
In 2023, I travelled solo to Costa Rica to volunteer at a turtle sanctuary. It had been a dream for a long time, and I eventually got out of my own way. In the process, I really discovered that confidence is not always about feeling fearless. Sometimes it's about learning how to move forward and trust you'll be ok.
I understand that confidence doesn't always feel bold on the inside. Sometimes others see courage in you long before you feel it yourself.
As a mid-life woman, I've experienced a lot, but this trip taught me so much about how capable I am. I learned how I could overcome the moments of anxiety when they came up, and they definitely did at points. If you want to go on a major trip and have associated anxieties and fears, we can work together to make it happen for you too.

This programme may be a good fit if you are ready to make a change, but feel as though fear, anxiety or self-doubt keeps blocking the way.
You do not need to arrive with everything worked out. You simply need to know that something is getting in the way and that you would like support to move forward and make the change.

Fear and anxiety are not only thoughts. They can also show up in the body as tension, restlessness, disrupted sleep, shallow breathing or feeling constantly on alert.
Some women benefit from combining mindset and confidence work with body-based support such as aromatherapy, reflexology or restorative treatments.
If you feel that physical tension, poor sleep or hormonal change is also affecting your confidence, the Women’s Wellbeing page may help you choose the best starting point.
If you're not sure what treatment would work best for you, please feel free to message me for support.
